Insulin syringes are marked in units where 100 units = 1 mL on a standard U-100 syringe. To draw a peptide dose in mg, you need to know the reconstituted concentration (mg/mL) — the amount of peptide in each mL of bacteriostatic water in the vial.
This converter multiplies your desired mg dose by 100 and divides by the mg/mL concentration. For example, a 0.25 mg dose from a 2 mg/mL vial equals 0.25 × 100 / 2 = 12.5 units on a U-100 syringe.
Units = (dose in mg × 100) ÷ concentration in mg/mL. The 100 comes from the U-100 syringe scale where 1 mL = 100 units.
