    How the conversion works

    Formula: mcg = units × concentration in mg/mL × 10. This works because 1 mL on a U-100 syringe = 100 units, and 1 mg = 1,000 mcg.

    Example: 10 units from a 2.5 mg/mL vial = 10 × 2.5 × 10 = 250 mcg.
