    PE-22-28

    Description

A BDNF-derived nootropic peptide that enhances cognitive function and memory. Promotes neuroplasticity and brain health.

    Dose:1-5 mg
    Frequency:Daily
    Administration Method: SQ, IN
    CategoryCognitive
    Half-LifeActivity persists >24 hours

    Overview

PE-22-28 is a synthetic pentapeptide derived from spadin, a naturally occurring TREK-1 blocker. It has enhanced stability and a longer duration of action than spadin. Water-soluble but parenteral or intranasal administration is required due to poor oral bioavailability.

    Mechanism of Action

PE-22-28 selectively blocks TREK-1 potassium channels, enhancing neuronal depolarization, synaptic transmission, and firing. It promotes serotonin signaling and upregulates BDNF, supporting neuroplasticity and neurogenesis, and modulates the HPA axis to reduce stress-induced damage.

    Benefits

    • •Cognitive enhancement
    • •Memory improvement
    • •Neuroplasticity
    • •Brain health
    • •Learning
    • •Neuroprotection

    Dosing Notes

Requires parenteral or intranasal administration; oral bioavailability is poor.

    Reported Side Effects

    • •Injection site reactions
    • •Limited human safety data
    • •Possible mood effects

    Safety Notes

Avoid combining with serotonergic agents - PE-22-28 enhances serotonergic signaling and could contribute to serotonin syndrome.
